In Thursday's non-league outing, the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) basketball squad edged the visiting Charlton County Indians (Folkston, GA), by a count of 62-58.
The Bears (3-9) will now prepare for their outing against Windsor Forest (Savannah, GA). The Knights go into the AA Region 3 outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Windsor Forest held off Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA), 60-24, in a non-league outing.
The Indians now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hilliard for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 7. Charlton County will clash with a Red Flashes squad coming off a 48-17 non-league loss to Hawthorne (Hawthorne, FL). The Red Flashes record now stands at 7-4.
