The Cousino Patriots basketball team scored 37 points and held the host L'Anse Creuse Lancers to 24 in the Patriots league triumph on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chippewa Valley for a Macomb Area - Blue contest on Monday, January 9. Cousino will battle a Big Reds team coming off a 41-13 non-league loss to Marysville (Marysville, MI). The Big Reds record now stands at 1-7.

The Lancers (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against South Lake (St. Clair Shores, MI). The Cavaliers enter the Macomb Area - Gold contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, South Lake ran past Sterling Heights Stevenson (Sterling Heights, MI), 37-34, in a league contest.
