The Earlham Cardinals basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Woodward-Granger Hawks to 32 in the Cardinals league triumph on Thursday.

The Cardinals now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Des Moines Christian for a West Central contest on Thursday, January 5. Earlham will battle a Lions team coming off a 51-29 non-league win over Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center (Guthrie Center, IA). The Lions record now stands at 8-2.

The Hawks (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against West Central Valley (Stuart, IA). The Wildcats enter the West Central contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, West Central Valley was routed by Interstate 35 (Truro, IA), 44-23, in a league contest.
