The Waterford Lancers basketball team (Waterford, CT), was overwhelmed 54-33 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host East Lyme Vikings (East Lyme, CT)
The Vikings now possess a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pomperaug for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 7. East Lyme will confront a Panthers team coming off a 55-54 non-league win over Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 6-1.
The Lancers (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against New London (New London, CT). The Whalers come into the non-league battle with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, New London was overwhelmed by Fitch (Groton, CT), 49-46, in a non-league battle.
