The Riverdale Rams (Port Byron, IL) basketball nipped the host Erie-Prophetstown Panthers (Erie, IL), 41-40 in Thursday's league test.

The Rams (5-11) will now prepare for their test against Davenport West (Davenport, IA). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, Davenport West was tipped by Muscatine (Muscatine, IA), 63-36, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to Wilton for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Erie-Prophetstown will encounter a Beavers squad coming off a 51-45 non-league loss to Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA). The Beavers record now stands at 4-4.
