The Everest Collegiate basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers to 25 in the league triumph on Thursday.

The now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenhills for a Catholic C-D D contest on Tuesday, January 10. Everest Collegiate will battle a Gryphons team coming off a 30-25 non-league win over Our Lady of the Lakes (Waterford, MI). The Gryphons record now stands at 2-4.

The Lakers (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Cranbrook Kingswood (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Cranes enter the Catholic Intersectional I contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Cranbrook Kingswood was defeated by Bishop Foley (Madison Heights, MI), 42-24, in a non-league contest.
