Everett Alvarez Eagles (Salinas, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Monterey Dores (Monterey, CA), 51-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Everett Alvarez upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA) to clash with the Pirates in a PCAL - Mission bout on Saturday, January 7. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Stevenson lost 30-26 in their recent non-league bout against St. Francis (Watsonville, CA)

Next up, the Dores clash with the Carmel Padres (Carmel, CA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Monterey will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record.
