The LeRoy Panthers basketball team (LeRoy, IL), was overwhelmed 53-24 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL)
The Knights now possess a 17-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eureka for a Heart Of Illinois battle on Monday, January 9. Fieldcrest will confront a Hornets team coming off a 66-30 league win over El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 14-5.
The Panthers (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Clinton (Clinton, IL). The Maroons come into the non-league battle with a 10-9 record. In their last battle, Clinton was overwhelmed by Tri-Valley (Downs, IL), 58-53, in a non-league battle.
