Jefferson Democrats (Portland, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Grant Generals (Portland, OR), 50-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Democrats travel to Benson Tech (Portland, OR) to play the Techmen in a 6A Portland bout on Saturday, January 7. The Techmen go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Benson Tech won 81-34 in their recent league bout against Cleveland (Portland, OR)

Next up, the Generals play the Lincoln Cardinals (Portland, OR) in a 6A Portland bout, on Saturday, January 7. Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 62-39 league win over Franklin (Portland, OR).
