The Griswold Grizzlies basketball team (Helix, OR), was overwhelmed 60-25 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Nixyaawii Community Eagles (Pendleton, OR)
The Eagles now possess a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crane for a non-league battle on Friday, January 6. Nixyaawii Community will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 50-27 non-league win over Union (Union, OR). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-1.
The Grizzlies (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Elgin (Elgin, OR). The Huskies come into the 1A Old Oregon battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Elgin was overwhelmed by Union (Union, OR), 39-26, in a league battle.
