The Haines Glacier Bears topped the host Petersburg Vikings basketball team by a final score of 34-23 in Thursday's league game.
In their next game, the Glacier Bears face the Wrangell Wolves (Wrangell, AK) in a 2A Southeast battle, on Monday, January 9. Haines will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record.
The Vikings (0-4) will now prepare for their battle against Craig (Craig, AK). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Craig prevailed over Metlakatla (Metlakatla, AK), 43-41, in a league battle.
