Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI), 42-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hancock upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host Dollar Bay (Dollar Bay, MI) to play the Bays in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Bays go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Dollar Bay lost 50-33 in their recent league bout against Ewen-Trout Creek (Ewen, MI)

Next up, the Hematites play the Iron Mountain Mountaineers (Iron Mountain, MI) in a Mid-Peninsula bout, on Thursday, January 12. Ishpeming will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
