Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Triad Knights (Troy, IL), 48-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Jersey upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Panthers host Carrollton (Carrollton, IL) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Carrollton won 63-8 in their recent non-league bout against Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL)

Next up, the Knights play the Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Triad will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record.
