Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the North Laurel Jaguars (London, KY) and the visiting Leslie County Eagles (Hyden, KY), saw North Laurel's basketball squad hold off Leslie County by a tally of 64-58.

With the victory, North Laurel improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Clay County (Manchester, KY) to play the Tigers in a District 49 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Clay County lost 65-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Hazard (Hazard, KY)

Next up, the Eagles play the Wolfe County Wolves (Campton, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. Leslie County will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record.
