Letcher County Central Cougars / Lady Cougars (Whitesburg, KY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Twin Springs Titans (Nickelsville, VA), 44-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Letcher County Central upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Cougars / Lady Cougars travel to Knott County Central (Hindman, KY) to clash with the Patriots in a District 53 bout on Friday, January 6. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Knott County Central won 60-17 in their recent league bout against June Buchanan (Pippa Passes, KY)

Next up, the Titans clash with the Lee Generals (Jonesville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Twin Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Generals go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 65-20 league loss to Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA).
