In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Liberty Raiders basketball team scored a decisive 55-30 triumph over the Van Bulldogs.
In their next game, the Raiders meet the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) in a Coalfield AA match, on Friday, January 13. Liberty will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record.
With the defeat, Van moves to 0-3 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Wahama (Mason, WV) to meet the White Falcons in a non-league match on Friday, January 6. The White Falcons enter the match with a record of 3-2. Wahama won 30-24 in their recent non-league match against Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV)
