Ohio High School Basketball - Western Reserve tops Mapleton

Western Reserve Roughriders (Collins, OH) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH), 40-23 in a league battle.
The Roughriders now possess a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crestview for a Firelands battle on Saturday, January 7.
The Mounties (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Northwestern (West Salem, OH). The Huskies come into the non-league battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, Northwestern was toppled by Norwayne (Creston, OH), 49-36, in a league battle.
