Nebraska High School Basketball - McCool Junction can't hold off Meridian

The Meridian Mustangs basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the visiting McCool Junction Mustangs to 32 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shelby-Rising City for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 7. Meridian will battle a Huskies team coming off a 48-36 non-league win over Exeter-Milligan (Exeter, NE). The Huskies record now stands at 5-5.

The Mustangs (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lawrence-Nelson (Nelson, NE). The Raiders come into the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Lawrence-Nelson edged Giltner (Giltner, NE), 50-25, in a league contest.
