Sutter Huskies (Sutter, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA), 47-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Sutter upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Huskies host Bear River (Grass Valley, CA) to clash with the Bruins in a Pioneer Valley League bout on Monday, January 9. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Bear River won 62-42 in their recent league bout against Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA)

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Wheatland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Hillmen go into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 46-37 non-league win over Union Mine (El Dorado, CA).
