Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA), 41-23 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hazleton Area upgrades its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Crestwood (Mountain Top, PA) to play the Comets in a bout on Monday, January 9. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 0-0.
