Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA), 43-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Jefferson Forest upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Rustburg (Rustburg, VA) to play the Red Devils in a bout on Monday, January 9. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 3-6. Rustburg lost 43-13 in their recent non-league bout against Glass (Lynchburg, VA)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Heritage will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record.
