With the victory, Southside improves its record to 1-8 on the campaign. The Seahawks host Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC) to confront the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 0-9.

Next up, the Cougars confront the West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 6. Croatan will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 61-20 non-league win over Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC).
