The Woodson Cavaliers (Fairfax, VA) basketball knocked off the host West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 49-31 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cavaliers (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Lake Braddock (Burke, VA). The Bruins go into the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Lake Braddock went down by Fairfax (Fairfax, VA), 48-33, in a non-league test.
The Spartans now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to South County for a non-league test on Monday, January 9. West Springfield will encounter a Stallions squad coming off a 55-24 non-league win over Robinson (Fairfax, VA). The Stallions record now stands at 4-1.
