In Thursday's league battle, the host Canyon Springs Cougars soccer squad scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Rancho Verde Mustangs.
The Cougars (4-6) will now prepare for their bout against Elsinore (Wildomar, CA). The Tigers enter the non-league bout with a 10-0 record. In their last bout, Elsinore tipped Paloma Valley (Menifee, CA), 4-2, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Heritage Patriots (Menifee, CA) in a Inland Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Rancho Verde will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Patriots enter the bout with a 3-11 record after their 2-0 league loss to Orange Vista (Perris, CA).
