Timberland Wolves (St. Stephen, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Academic Magnet Raptors (North Charleston, SC), 47-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Timberland upgrades its record to 1-11 on the season. The Wolves travel to Lake Marion (Santee, SC) to play the Gators in a AA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Lake Marion lost 72-42 in their recent league bout against Bishop England (Charleston, SC)

Next up, the Raptors play the Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks (Mt. Pleasant, SC) in a AA Region 7 bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Academic Magnet will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record. The Landsharks go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 62-49 non-league loss to Covenant Day (Matthews, NC).
