The Meigs Marauders basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Alexander Spartans to 31 in the Marauders league triumph on Friday.

The Marauders now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Frye for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Meigs will battle a Cadets team coming off a 69-37 league loss to Marietta (Marietta, OH). The Cadets record now stands at 5-3.

The Spartans (0-11) will now prepare for their contest against Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH). The Lancers enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Federal Hocking triumphed over Southern (Racine, OH), 67-29, in a league contest.
