Kingston Yellowjackets (Kingston, AR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Alpena Leopards (Alpena, AR), 78-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Kingston upgrades its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Mount Judea (Mount Judea, AR) to play the Eagles in a 1A Region 1 East bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 0-11. Mount Judea lost 55-32 in their recent non-league bout against Timbo (Timbo, AR)

Next up, the Leopards play the Omaha Eagles (Omaha, AR) in a 1A Region 1 East bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Alpena will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 11-9 record after their 58-56 league loss to Jasper (Jasper, AR).
