The Alvord Bulldogs (Alvord, TX) basketball crushed the host Collinsville Pirates (Collinsville, TX), 58-32 in Friday's league test.

The Bulldogs (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Era (Era, TX). The Hornets go into the 2A Region II District 13 test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Era was trounced by Tioga (Tioga, TX), 45-36, in a league test.

The Pirates now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Muenster for a 2A Region II District 13 test on Tuesday, January 9. Collinsville will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 53-44 league win over Lindsay (Lindsay, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 13-5.
