Mammoth Spring Bears (Mammoth Spring, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Armorel Tigers (Armorel, AR), 69-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Mammoth Spring upgrades its record to 17-5 on the season. The Bears host Tuckerman (Tuckerman, AR) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 13-9. Tuckerman won 74-58 in their recent league bout against Newport (Newport, AR)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Marked Tree Indians (Marked Tree, AR) in a 1A Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Armorel will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 15-3 record after their 66-36 league win over Maynard (Maynard, AR).
