Nashville Scrappers (Nashville, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ashdown Panthers (Ashdown, AR), 61-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Nashville upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Scrappers travel to Malvern (Malvern, AR) to clash with the Leopards in a 4A Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Leopards go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Malvern lost 54-53 in their recent league bout against Hope (Hope, AR)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Magnolia Panthers (Magnolia, AR) in a 4A Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Ashdown will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 54-50 league win over Camden Fairview (Camden, AR).
