Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC), 68-22 in a league bout.

With the victory, Southern Guilford upgrades its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Storm travel to Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC) to play the Golden Eagles in a 3A Mid-State bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a record of 11-1. Ben L. Smith won 71-65 in their recent non-league bout against First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC)

Next up, the Camels play the Eastern Guilford Wildcats (Gibsonville, NC) in a 3A Mid-State bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Atkins will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 67-54 league loss to Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC).
