In Friday's league outing, the Smethport Hubbers (Smethport, PA) basketball squad felled the visiting Austin Panthers (Austin, PA), by a margin of 60-43.

The Hubbers (2-8) will now prepare for their outing against Otto-Eldred (Duke Center, PA). The Terrors go into the North Tier outing with a 9-0 record. In their last outing, Otto-Eldred thwarted Salamanca (Salamanca, NY), 51-50, in a non-league outing.

The Panthers now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Bucktail for a non-league outing on Monday, January 8. Austin will clash with a Bucks squad coming off a 56-53 league win over Montgomery (Montgomery, PA). The Bucks record now stands at 5-4.
