Battle Mountain Longhorns (Battle Mountain, NV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Silver Stage Nighthawks (Silver Springs, NV), 71-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Battle Mountain upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Longhorns host Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV) to clash with the Falcons in a 2A Northern bout on Saturday, January 6. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Sierra Lutheran lost 84-59 in their recent league bout against West Wendover (West Wendover, NV)

Next up, the Nighthawks clash with the West Wendover Wolverines (West Wendover, NV) in a 2A Northern bout, on Saturday, January 6. Silver Stage will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 84-59 league win over Sierra Lutheran (Carson City, NV).
