The Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY) basketball nipped the host Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY), 49-47 in Friday's non-league test.
The Bobcats (15-0) will now prepare for their test against Daniel Boone (Gray, TN). The Trailblazers go into the non-league test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Daniel Boone got by Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN), 83-68, in a league test.
The Colonels now own a 13-2 record. They play next when they travel to Williamsburg for a District 50 test on Friday, January 12. Whitley County will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 54-51 non-league win over Harlan (Harlan, KY). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 9-8.
