California High School Basketball - Liberty can't hold off Benicia

The Benicia Panthers basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Liberty Lions to 50 in the Panthers non-league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairfield for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Benicia will battle a Falcons team coming off a 56-54 non-league loss to Deer Valley (Antioch, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 8-8.
The Lions (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Freedom (Oakley, CA). The Falcons come into the Bay Valley contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Freedom edged Foothill (Pleasanton, CA), 46-44, in a non-league contest.
