Concord Minutemen (Concord, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bentley Phoenix (Lafayette, CA), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Concord upgrades its record to 3-11 on the season. The Minutemen travel to Campolindo (Moraga, CA) to play the Cougars in a Diablo bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Campolindo won 58-56 in their recent non-league bout against Capital Christian (Sacramento, CA)

Next up, the Phoenix play the Tennyson Lancers (Hayward, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Bentley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 59-54 league win over San Lorenzo (San Lorenzo, CA).
