Somersworth Toppers (Somersworth, NH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Berlin Mountaineers (Berlin, NH), 37-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Somersworth upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Toppers host St. Thomas Aquinas (Dover, NH) to play the Saints in a Division III bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 7-1. St. Thomas Aquinas won 68-35 in their recent league bout against Belmont (Belmont, NH)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Inter-Lakes Lakers (Meredith, NH) in a Division III bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Berlin will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Lakers go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 63-35 league loss to Mascoma (Canaan, NH).
