In Friday's non-league outing, the Bibb County Choctaws (Centreville, AL) basketball squad beat the host Pickens County Tornadoes (Reform, AL), by a count of 54-40.
The Choctaws (8-4) will now prepare for their outing against West Blocton (West Blocton, AL). The Tigers go into the 4A Area 6 outing with a 10-7 record. In their last outing, West Blocton defeated Verbena (Verbena, AL), 93-27, in a non-league outing.
The Tornadoes now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Berry for a 1A Area 9 outing on Monday, January 8. Pickens County will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 81-54 league loss to Holy Spirit Catholic (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-9.
