Ohio High School Basketball - Black River knocked off by Firelands

The Firelands Falcons basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Black River Pirates to 51 in the Falcons league triumph on Friday.

The Falcons now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodridge for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Firelands will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 72-41 league win over Ravenna (Ravenna, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-5.

The Pirates (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Brookside (Sheffield, OH). The Cardinals enter the Lorain County 8 contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Brookside ran past Open Door Christian (Elyria, OH), 68-67, in a non-league contest.
