Crawford Pirates (Crawford, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bosqueville Bulldogs (Waco, TX), 51-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Crawford upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Pirates travel to Moody (Moody, TX) to play the Bearcats in a 2A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Moody lost 64-33 in their recent league bout against Meyer (Waco, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Rosebud-Lott Cougars (Rosebud, TX) in a 2A Region III District 17 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Bosqueville will attempt to upgrade on its 8-16 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 49-36 league loss to Crawford (Crawford, TX).
