Carbon Hill Bulldogs (Carbon Hill, AL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gordo Green Wave (Gordo, AL), 61-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Carbon Hill upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Meek (Arley, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 3-7.

Next up, the Green Wave play the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights (Tuscaloosa, AL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Gordo will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 34-33 league loss to Marion (Marion, AL).
