The Cardinal Comets basketball team (Eldon, IA), was overwhelmed 90-35 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Clarke Indians (Osceola, IA)
The Indians now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chariton for a South Central battle on Tuesday, January 9. Clarke will confront a Chargers team coming off a 80-70 league win over Davis County (Bloomfield, IA). The Chargers record now stands at 5-5.
The Comets (0-10) will now prepare for their battle against Wapello (Wapello, IA). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Wapello trounced Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA), 76-68, in a league battle.
