With the victory, Carver College and Career Academy improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Wolverines host King William (King William, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a Tidewater challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. King William won 72-34 in their recent league challenge against West Point (West Point, VA)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Rappahannock Raiders (Warsaw, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 8. Mathews will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 76-29 non-league loss to Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA).
