The Northampton Blue Devils (Northampton, MA) basketball nipped the visiting Central Golden Eagles (Springfield, MA), 52-49 in Friday's non-league test.
The Blue Devils (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Sci-Tech (Springfield, MA). The CyberCats go into the Valley test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Sci-Tech was tipped by Catholic Memorial (West Roxbury, MA), 95-39, in a non-league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 6-1 record. They play next when they host Holyoke for a Valley test on Monday, January 8. Central will encounter a Purple Knights squad coming off a 73-67 league loss to Putnam Vo-Tech (Springfield, MA). The Purple Knights record now stands at 5-3.
