Hawley Bearcats (Hawley, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Cisco Loboes (Cisco, TX), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hawley upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Haskell (Haskell, TX) to play the Indians in a 2A Region II District 10 bout on Friday, January 12. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 1-10. Haskell lost 74-37 in their recent league bout against Cisco (Cisco, TX)

Next up, the Loboes play the Haskell Indians (Haskell, TX) in a 2A Region II District 10 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Cisco will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record.
