Clinton County Bulldogs (Albany, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY), 67-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Clinton County upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Russell County (Russell Springs, KY) to clash with the Lakers in a District 16 bout on Friday, January 5. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Russell County lost 70-56 in their recent non-league bout against Adair County (Columbia, KY)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Russellville Panthers (Russellville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Metcalfe County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 72-70 league loss to Logan County (Russellville, KY).
