The Russell County Lakers basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Clinton County Bulldogs to 42 in the Lakers league triumph on Friday.
The Lakers now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southwestern for a non-league contest on Monday, January 8. Russell County will meet a Warriors team coming off a 79-54 non-league loss to Lincoln County (Stanford, KY). The Warriors record now stands at 8-8.
The Bulldogs (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Glasgow (Glasgow, KY). The Scotties enter the non-league contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Glasgow triumphed over Allen County-Scottsville (Scottsville, KY), 42-33, in a league contest.
