The Elk Mound Mounders topped the host Colfax Vikings basketball team by a final score of 69-55 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Mounders face the Fall Creek Crickets (Fall Creek, WI) in a non-league game, on Monday, January 8. Elk Mound will attempt to better on its 9-1 season record. The Crickets come into the battle with a 3-6 record after their 73-65 league loss to Bloomer (Bloomer, WI).

The Vikings (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Elmwood/Plum City (Elmwood, WI). The Wolves come into the Dunn-St. Croix battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Elmwood/Plum City dropped by Boyceville (Boyceville, WI), 73-64, in a league battle.
