The Columbus Falcons basketball team (Columbus, MS), was nudged 50-47 in Friday's league battle with the host Vicksburg Gators (Vicksburg, MS)
The Gators now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Neshoba Central for a 6A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 9. Vicksburg will battle a Rockets team coming off a 89-44 league loss to Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS). The Rockets record now stands at 12-8.
The Falcons (15-4) will now prepare for their battle against Callaway (Jackson, MS). The Chargers come into the 6A Region 2 battle with a 10-9 record. In their last battle, Callaway edged Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS), 78-63, in a league battle.
