New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Crestwood Cadets (Cresco, IA), 68-44 in a league bout.
With the win, New Hampton upgrades its record to 1-9 on the season. The Chickasaws host Waverly-Shell Rock (Waverly, IA) to clash with the Go-Hawks in a Northeast Iowa bout on Friday, January 12. The Go-Hawks go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Waverly-Shell Rock won 84-57 in their recent league bout against Decorah-North Winneshiek (Decorah, IA)
Next up, the Cadets clash with the Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA) in a Northeast Iowa bout, on Friday, January 12. Crestwood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Indians go into the game with a 3-6 record after their 76-51 non-league loss to MFL MarMac (Monona, IA).
